End of Life Care

Saying goodbye to your pet is one of the most difficult episodes of life. At Coastal Veterinary we understand this sad truth, and we strive to make your pet’s passing as dignified as possible.

Whether your pet is reaching his or her golden years, has been diagnosed with a terminal illness, or has met with unforeseen circumstances, coping with the inevitable loss of your beloved pet is stressful and emotional.
Our professional and compassionate staff will take the time you need to ensure your pet’s comfort and dignity in his or her passing and assist you in making the best decision possible regarding end-of-life care.

Coastal Veterinary has several available options for helping you manage the end-of-life experience for your pet,
such as:
~ Palliative care
~ Humane euthanasia
Whatever your decision, we will support and respect your choice as the best decision you can make for your loved one.

In addition to our end-of-life care, Coastal Veterinary will also assist you in handling the remains of your beloved pet. We work closely with Parsell Pet Crematorium (Phone: 302-645-7445)  who is always there for you 24/7.
